Café le hygge on Ehrengutstraße brings a relaxed, creative atmosphere to Munich’s café scene, blending cozy vibes with a touch of urban friendliness. This café is the kind of spot where locals settle in whether for a late morning coffee, a casual vegan lunch, or drinks when the day starts winding down.

The space itself feels thoughtfully curated — comfortable yet artsy, with subtle design details and laid-back music setting a mellow tone that invites lingering. It’s the kind of place where you might find a mix of freelancers tapping away on laptops, small groups chatting quietly, or someone enjoying their book in a cozy corner.

Menu highlights like the Crazy Spinach and Mega Bowl suggest a focus on creative, plant-based dishes that draw in those looking for healthy, vegetarian options with some flair, while the Chai Latte stands out as a popular choice for a comforting beverage. This aligns well with the café’s nurturing, calm atmosphere — it’s not just about quick coffee runs, but a pace that encourages you to slow down.

Visitors commonly appreciate the attentive, friendly service that makes the place feel welcoming, almost like a “home away from home.” While prices can lean on the higher side, many find the experience and vibe worth it, particularly for those who value a café that doubles as a relaxed meeting spot or a quiet refuge in the city.

Early afternoons or early evenings tend to be the sweet spots for a visit — when natural light softens the interior and the café hums with quiet conversation but hasn’t yet filled up. This makes it ideal for anyone looking to enjoy vegan meals without the usual rush, or to catch up with friends in a space that balances creativity and comfort.

Overall, Café le hygge appeals to people who appreciate spaces where taste and atmosphere open up at the same time — from locals who embrace plant-based eating to visitors wanting a distinctively calm and thoughtful café experience in Munich’s lively Glockenbachviertel neighborhood.

It’s def one of my fav places whenever I go for coffee, vegan food or drinks at night. It’s not only hip, cozy and aesthetic but also sobi always makes me feel welcomed! I almost wanted to keep this place to myself lowkey not to make it more popular but its unique vibes compared to other cafes in munich deserve more love

A lovingly guided space of creativity and calm. Here, taste buds and hearts open alike. Thank you for giving us this Home, Outside Home.

Unique in Munich!! Thanks Sobi and his amazing friendly team for having hosted us on my birthday. We had the complete back room for ourselves, the place is incredibly nice, charming and has a very chilled and cozy atmosphere. On top of that, the food was great (loved the cauliflower and mushrooms!) and everyone loved it. A pity there not more places like this in Munich! :) Merci encore Sobi et bravo à toute l’équipe.

Very nice, welcoming, authentic place. It seems lovingly created with thoughtful details from the music to the artsy design to the vegetarian dishes cooked with great variety and creativity. Very friendly service, reasonable prices and a wide selection of dishes and drinks. Highly recommended!

A gorgeous vegan cafe and bar in Dreimühlenviertel. I have had takeaway burgers from here before and they were good. Also quite a cool looking bar inside with living room like setup and nice funky decor and many interesting photos hanging on the walls. Service is very nice and friendly and English is not a problem. Bit of a Dresden Neustadt like cafe/bar and has nice outdoor seating. Good drinks menu and a daily food menu as well.

Great little place to grab a drink and sit outside when the weather is good. Quirky interior and a a comfortable spot to chill out.

A real different vibe than what Munich usually offers. The place is more like a Berlin cafe with vegan food and some interesting platters. Very chilled atmosphere.
